About
About me
I'm Kunal. I have an engineering degree, I work as a software developer, and I've been lifting for more than seven years.
I got into lifting during college because I grew up watching a lot of Dragon Ball and wanted a physique that looked straight out of an anime. But I'm a nerd at heart, so guessing my way around the gym was never going to cut it. I started obsessively reading up on the science of training and nutrition and applying it to my own training.
The reading started because I was frustrated. A lot of the advice I followed early on contradicted itself, and the people giving it usually couldn't explain why it was supposed to work. I'm used to a job where you have to be able to justify every decision you make, and I wanted my training held to the same standard.
Eventually I started training the people around me, applying what I'd learned and building up real experience. Later I got my professional certification through Menno Henselmans' PT Course.
What I'm not is a generic gym trainer doing this just to earn a living, who hands you a cookie-cutter program that makes you feel like you're doing something without actually delivering results. I started out of a genuine passion for fitness and a real wish to help the people around me get into the best shape they can. I only preach what I follow myself.
I started coaching in 2022 and have worked with more than 50 clients so far, mostly young working professionals and students, along with people in their 30s and 40s. What I enjoy most is when a client stops needing me, because they've learned to adjust their own training and nutrition. Teaching that is as much a part of the job as getting the result.
